The DV8 Kitchen has an amazing menu, and mission.
They hire and train people in recovery. Their story is amazing, inspiring, and can bring tears to your eyes. The good kind.
Rob and Diane Perez opened DV8 while still owning Saul Good here in Lexington. They now have two. One is on South Broadway across from a Waffle House and the other is in the East End at the corner of East Third Street and Midland Ave at the MET, across from Manchester Coffee. Parking is free, easy, and plentiful at both locations.

They talk about their lives and careers from meeting in a restaurant as they were beginning life as young adults through today. It is quite a story and very inspiring.
I highly recommend you go to the DV8 Kitchen website and check out their menu and pictures. I feel pretty sure you’ll want to get right over there as soon as you can.
Along with the two DV8 Kitchen restaurants here in Lexington, Rob and Diane began a Vocational Training Foundation Employee Success Program. This, along with the jobs at the restaurants, have been life-changing experiences for many people. And for our community.
Here’s something exciting for you to participate in to burn some calories from that breakfast and lunch. And help the foundation.
DV8 and Gray Construction are holding their six annual DV8K Life Changing Run. It will be on Saturday, August 24, 2024 at Keeneland.
They’ll have an 8K run, 4K run/walk, a Kids ¼ mile dash, and a virtual run/walk. You can also volunteer to help.
The purpose of the run is “to further DV8’s mission of employing and empowering people in early stages of addiction recovery.”

While on the DV8 website look at the menu, check out information about their bakery and the private events they host and cater. And the gift boxes they make. I’d like to host an event just so I can enjoy those menu items.
