We are surrounded by talent, creativity, and inspiration. And it is a joy to be introduced to people who are examples of all those traits. It is especially meaningful to me when I get to learn about activities and programs that I knew little or nothing about.
Barbershop singing is one of those activities.
In this episode I talk with two members of The Kentuckians Chorus. This is the men’s barbershop chorus of Central Kentucky.
I sat down with their Music Director, Kris Olson, and with Chase Miller, a member who graduated from high school this year.
I truly believe that this conversation will spark an interest in you to experience some in person Barbershop singing and the joy it brings. Sometimes people just want to have fun.
Here’s one way you can do that. The Kentuckians Chorus will be hosting a Youth In Harmony Festival on Saturday, November 18th here in Lexington. We’ll cover the details about that here.

Youth in Harmony Festival
Saturday, November 18, 2023, at the Crestwood Christian Church in Lexington, Kentucky.
The workshop for youth begins at 9:30 am and the concert for the public begins at 3:30 pm.
