Episode 5
I’m Tom Hailey and this is the Bluegrass Region Voices and Views Podcast … featuring people, places, and activities around the Bluegrass Region of Kentucky.
Well…It’s almost September 2020 and we’re still staying physically distant from each other. Thanks to technology, and some effort, we don’t have to remain completely socially distant.
I’m making that effort by using a computer-based system named Squad Cast for my interview recordings, and I think it’s working out well as far as the sound quality goes.
But I miss the in-person conversations. I sort of get a stilted robot or odd announcer voice over the phone and computer. When I answer the phone the caller often pauses waiting for me to say “leave a message after the tone.” They think I’m an answering machine. Oh well. I’m working on it.
Last year when I was setting up my website for this, my Senior Project, I needed a logo and cover art for the podcast.
I asked my podcast meet-up group, Lexington Podcasters, for some referrals for graphic designers.
The first referral I got worked out perfectly, and she is my guest today.
She is Joanna Sherrow and her business is named Savvy Chic Design.
Joanna helps entrepreneurs and small businesses with their branding decisions, visuals, website, focus, and motivation.
Join us as we talk about her journey over the ocean and across the mountains to Kentucky, and how she has become a business owner located in the Bluegrass Region with local and global clients.
I’ve had a positive experience working with Joanna, and I recommend her.
Her website and contact information are at: http://www.savvychicdesign.com
In our conversation, she mentions the following places, activities, and products that she likes to show off to out of town guests and to enjoy herself. Click on the name to go to its website.
