Episode 35
Sometimes and hour is not enough. That’s how I felt as I was wrapping up this conversation with Dr. Paschal Baute. It would take recording a two-day, sixteen-hour, retreat featuring Paschal talking about his life and lessons learned to feel satisfied. But this conversation is a start.
Dr. Baute began his adult life in the military. Next, while attending Notre Dame he decided to become a monk and a Catholic Priest. After sixteen years, he left the monastery and that priesthood. Then things really pivoted and got interesting.
Now at age 93 he’s a blind veteran who writes books and articles about his journey and life lessons. He intends to launch a podcast this year titled Grace, Grit, Hope where he will interview people who exemplify those three words. His co-host will be Kevin Osbourn. We’ll open with Kevin describing the podcast project. Then we’ll begin our conversation as Paschal tells us where he was born and raised. Next, we’ll really get into it.
But even then, it will be obvious that there are a lot more layers to peel back. Paschal’s books do that.
If you know someone you would like to see featured on Paschal’s podcast, you can reach him at the contact information shown below. Finally, he is looking for some funding help for this project. Contact him if you know an organization that might like to underwrite or sponsor the Grace, Grit, Hope podcast.
